THE BIG MEETING OF ŽEMAIĆI DEDICATED TO THE 230TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF SIMONAS DAUKANTAS

In 2023 December 2, Saturday, 1 p.m. The Šiauliai History Museum (Aušros al. 47, Šiauliai) will host the Great Žemaitian Assembly dedicated to the 230th anniversary of the birth of Simonas Daukantas. During the event, a portrait of Simonas Daukantas painted by J. Zenkevičius (1850) will be exhibited. This is the only authentic portrait of S. Daukantas, painted while posing by himself. Free entry.
