March 11 – a double holiday for Šiauliai Aušros museum
On March 11th, 2010 (Thursday, 2 pm), in Šiauliai Aušros Museum's Ch. Frenkelis Villa (Vilniaus St. 74, Šiauliai) the 20th anniversary of the Restitution of Independence of Lithuania and the 87th anniversary of Šiauliai Aušros Museum's establishment took place. On this occasion, traditional P. Bugailiškis (the founder of the Museum) Award and exhibition „Šiauliai Dwellers – the Fosterers of Parliamentary Traditions" were presented. A concert was held by Agnė Paškauskaitė, postgraduate from the Lithaunian Academy of Music and Theatre.
On the occasion of March 11th, Day of the Restitution of Independence of Lithuania, – Ch. Frenkelis Villa, Aušros Avenue Mansion, Bicycle Museum, Radio and TV Mueum were opened for visitors for free between 11am and 5pm.
